We are a Small Business
 Before starting The Crazy Heron, years of experience were already in place to be able to assist our customers in enjoying what we do. We understand that good business boils down to providing excellent customer service.  As with any type of commerce, without good customer service there is no business. We do everything in our power to make sure that our customers are satisfied with both their purchase, and service. Since we are a custom-order company, we take great strides in understanding what our customers want, and limit misunderstandings.

The Crazy Heron® is a multi-product and service orientated company located in S.W. Florida. Our main product (since 1998) has been the manufacturing and hand-painting of custom-built nautical style furniture. Back in 1998, my business partner and I were standing on Bradenton Beach (Florida) looking over the area for the first time. We were researching the area to open our first store. While standing there this tall blue heron walk up to us looking for food. I fed this bird some pieces of a breakfast sandwich I was eating. This tall, beautiful bird, had no fear and actually started moving from side-to-side as if it was dancing right next to me. I commented that this bird was one crazy heron. Hence, the name of the business came from that dancing bird on the beach. Our retail store was located in beautiful Bradenton Beach, Florida, directly on the gulf of Mexico, 100 yards from the ocean. Our furniture manufacturing shop was another mile away, directly over the bridge. We've since moved from that location and presently offer our custom-built nautical furniture via internet only.

Also owned and operated was a truly unique early 1900’s antique Cretors popcorn wagon. The wagon was used at Special Events, Grand Openings and Florida Air Shows. (i.e. Blue Angles & Thunder Birds)  Although the wagon served as a great business opportunity, we found that traveling on the road took us away from  other important business priorities. The antique wagon is presently in storage, in great condition and listed for sale. (see wagon)
