ANTIQUE CRETORS POPCORN WAGON
This early 1900's Cretors, Model-C (Horse-drawn) popcorn wagon has been meticulously restored and has been in storage for the past 4.5 years. Totally functional with a 14 oz. popper. Original antique beveled glass, original oak wood window frames and original flash and glue chipped signs. Red & White Stripe (slid-in-and out) canopy with Red & Yellow lights around the wagon for night use. Inside lighting was added (1960) as well. This wagon is truly distinctive and unique. Stainless steel shelves with a secured-mounted (yet easily removed) microwave. This wagon would be a fantastic business in any mall or upscale shopping center. We retired from doing Special Events such as The Blue Angles and Thunderbirds air shows. Every show, Special Event or Grand Opening we ever did with this wagon drew a crowd. When waxed with a beautiful shine, the wagon seems to stand alone as if it was something right out from the world of Disney. The wagon is presently in storage in the S.W., Florida area. Although its not impossible to find a popcorn wagon, it is arduous to find an original antique popcorn wagon in the condition this wagon is in. This condition doesn't come easy either. Many pain staking hours of cleaning and wiping the wagon down. The wagon had been appraised at $30,000 (in 2004) due to age and condition. This particular wagon was on the streets of Chicago for many years, brought to Florida and restored (1972) by a professional company. Remember, a true antique will always grow in value, protecting your investment. We made our return of investment within our first year with this wagon.
As with any business, the business owner tries for that EXCEPTIONAL edge in the market place. If you're thinking about the vending business, or perhaps wanting to add a unique attraction, I can honestly say this antique wagon drew people. Even while we were getting ready to set up for a show or an event, people would always flocked around the wagon, even while it was on the trailer. Someone in the crowd was sure to comment, "this a real antique wagon isn't it? I was always proud to say.........it's a real McCoy. If you want a true advantage over the competition, something not seen on every corner and something of real value, this wagon genuinely stands right out front. In a world where most possessions are just a copy, this wagon stands out from many, as authentic antiques do. Anyone can get a copy of something, but only a few are privy to the real deal.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
1.) The wagon is located in southwest Florida, in the Ft. Myers-Sanibel area.
2.) The wagon is kept in storage and is basically in the same condition.
3.)Since I did not want to take away from the true antique wagon, we used a custom-built stainless-steel portable sink, with a water heater and a water supply tank on wheels. The waste tank was placed under the wagon, which was easily transported. This set up has been sold. I would recommend to easily ADD a typical hot and cold water cooler (2.5 gallon bottle) and carry a few additional bottles. The water waste tank again, can be set under the wagon.
4.) The wagon DOES have microwave, 14 oz. popper and stainless steel shelving and a hidden money drop box.
5.) The trailer will be sold separate from the wagon, and is optional.
6.) The price of the wagon is $24,500.
7.) A notice is required to view the wagon since it is in storage, and has been for several years.
